Long-term partnership with a growing Christian ministry

Sustained partnership in refreshing the leadership at a small and growing charity

The Challenge

A Christian ministry focused on evangelism approached us with an initial hope of finding a new Director for their work in the UK as their small ministry was expanding rapidly. Key for the appointed candidate would be a detailed understanding of the ministry’s constituency combined with gifts for expanding its reach. In due course, a host of other roles would also need filling, including Trustee and Chair posts and a member of the UK SLT.


Our Approach

Key to the success of these searches was a thorough understanding of the distinctives of the charity’s approach to its work and its plans for growth. A gifted communicator and strategist would be essential in positioning the organisation for maximum impact in the years ahead. We carefully mapped out all organisations likely to be home to candidates who shared the distinctives of the ministry, as well as leaning heavily on speaking with advisors. In due course, the work we did on the first search informed multiple board level searches as the ministry sought to bolster the wisdom amongst its trustees.


Our Impact

Several years on from our first project together, the ministry is thriving under a new chair, a diversified range of trustees and a new executive leader. It is further investing in leadership appointments as it develops its UK structure and seeks to equip itself for internal expansion. We remain an ongoing partner on this journey of growth.
